A point scale is used to ask about things like the intensity of a certain pain someone is experiencing. The minimum value is 0 and he maximum value is 10.
Setting up values:
In the pop-up on the tab “Specific properties” you can make the minimum value lower and the maximum value higher if you want. The point scale is displayed form left to right. You can put a label on the left and right side (for example, “not at all” and “very much”). You can also place a label in the middle under the point scale (for example, “Neutral”).
Emoticons as answer options (VAS-score):
Finally, you see a few emoticons. You can link a value from your point scale to each of the emoticons. If you do this, your emoticons will be displayed in the CRF. It is standard that both values as well as emoticons are displayed. You can also choose to not show any values by using the option do not display values below emoticons. By using this option, and not linking the emoticons to values, you can even make a point scale that shows no values.
