There are several possible reasons for this. Here are the most common ones:
- You have a role that does not have the right to add new patients. Only users with the role application manager, data manager, research specialist or researcher are allowed to add new patients. Do you not have this role, or do you not know which role you have? Please contact your data manager or application manager.
- If you have the role researcher, it can be that it is only possible for the other roles to add new patients. This is a setting that can differ per study.
- The study is active, but the site is not. Sites that are not active can be recognized in the CRF by the pencil icon that is added to the icon of the site. An administrator should be able to activate the site for your study through the screen Management – sites.
- Lastly, there is the possibility that the maximum number of patient for the site has been reached. In this case you will get a clear error message to signal why you cannot add the patient.
