If you regularly make questionnaires then you know time consuming it can be. And if you do this for multiple studies then you probably noticed the same set of questions or a standardized questionnaire keeps coming back. It is frustrating to fill in those questions multiple time. That is why ResearchManager thought of a convenient function for this: building blocks.
These are standard questionnaires, that you can draft yourself, so you can then easily add them to a study. This way you never lose extra time to filling in questions about general patient information or medical history. You have a lot of time left for other aspects of your study.
If you have the role of application manager or data manager within the module, then you can use building blocks when setting up a study template. Application manager are always allowed to use building blocks from all categories, data managers can be limited depending on your settings.
Extensive steps:
Go to https://myresearchmanager.com/NameCustomer . Log in with your username and password.
Attention: Does your organization use multiple modules within ResearchManager? In that case it could be that you first enter the module portal. Click on “EDC (Data management)”. Dependent on your settings it could be that you enter one of our other modules first. If you do not see “EDC (Data management)” in the top left corner of your screen, click on the logo you do see to get to the module portal. Then, click on “EDC (Data management)” as well.
Step 1: Navigate towards Study template
Now you find yourself on the starting page. Click at the top, in the menu bar, on “Management”. Then click on “Study template” under the heading “Template configuration”. On the left you see the navigation overview in which by default you only see the chapter titles. Under that you see a button to add a chapter. Click on it.
Step 2: Apply the building blocks that were made in the study template
Now a pop-up opens. On the top of this pop-up, on the tab “Basic properties” (where you find yourself by default), you see a drop down. Here you can select all the building blocks you saved chapters. Here select one and fill in the rest of the fields just like you would do when you were making an entire new chapter.
Finally click on “Save” to save, on “Save and close” to save and close the pop-up, or on “Close” to cancel.
When making a new subchapter or a new paragraph you can import a building block in the same way, as long as it has been saved on the right level (you cannot open a building block that is saved as a subchapter when you are making a paragraph).
