In short
In this version, among other updates:
- Make use of every study overview now that it's possible to search and filter on (almost) all columns!
- Budget components now have a VAT column for making calculations.
- It is now possible to specify the country for each document.
- PDF files can now be downloaded and opened from the table in the enhanced PDF viewer.
- Bugs, nobody wants them, so we've fixed as many as possible.
Read from this point onward for details on all the updates and their explanations.
New
- Budget components can now utilize VAT
A new feature has been added to the budget component. Under management -> budget component -> VAT, fixed VAT types can now be defined. These types can then be linked to budget components.
Within the budget component, it is possible to configure automatic calculations on budgeted and realized prices and totals. This can be done for both inclusive and exclusive values, considering the chosen VAT type and rate.
- Setting up countries in documents
We have made it possible to specify a country for each document. These countries can be configured under management -> countries and sites -> countries.
Countries can then be used as an additional column in the documents component for extra information.
- Direct downloading of PDF files
In the previous release, a PDF viewer was introduced. When a PDF file is added, it can be viewed directly in the viewer by clicking the PDF button, and then the file could be downloaded from the viewer. However, it may also be the case that you want to download the file directly without first viewing it in the viewer. That's why we now have both a viewer button and a download button for PDF files: you can choose what you prefer!
Improved
- Filtering and sorting by columns in the study overview
From now on, you can sort and filter on the study overview page. We have added the ability to sort and filter on user-added components instead of just the fixed columns.
In version 6.9, we released an update that allows you to save the overview with sorting and filtering. This functionality also works in conjunction with the new features.
-
Making document category expansion easier
When adding a document, we've made a small addition where double-clicking on the category now expands the titles. Previously, this could only be done by clicking on the triangle at the beginning of the line.
- Improved validation on the user edit screen
Under management -> users and roles, it's possible to create and edit users. When editing a user, it was occasionally unclear if all information was entered correctly because the notification that something went wrong was displayed at the bottom of the window. We've added new validation, using red highlights to quickly and clearly indicate what is incomplete. Additionally, the screen has been slightly enlarged.
- Scrolling in the PDF viewer
When viewing files, we've expanded the PDF viewer and added the feature that it's now possible to scroll through the file.
- Accepting and declining an account request
Under management -> users and roles, it is possible to handle account requests. We have made an improvement in accepting and rejecting them. Previously, only a window was displayed with the option to accept or reject. We have enhanced this by splitting the two options to show more possibilities for each during acceptance or rejection.
Bug fixes
-
Digital signatures available in the PDF viewer
In the previous version, not all electronic signatures were displayed in the PDF viewer that were visible when the PDF document was downloaded. We have resolved this issue; all electronic signatures are now visible in the PDF viewer.
- First option not automatically selected for single-answer field in assessment field
When a review line was added to an review component with a single-answer component, the first option of the single answer was automatically chosen. We have now fixed this; the field remains empty until something is filled in.
- Automatic transition when leaving study type blank
When the study type was left blank, automatic transitions were not executed, even though the field was optional. This meant that the transition was only executed if one or more study types were defined. This is no longer the case; it is now possible to leave the study type blank. This ensures that the transition is executed for all study types.
